Policy and Political Environment Assessment: We assess the policy and political environment as it relates to the individual positioning and objectives of each of our clients. This work creates an understanding of where they fit into the broader health care system and policy debate. In doing so, we help clients formulate the most successful approaches possible to ensure their objectives are realized.
Policy Analysis and Development: We ensure that the policy approaches embraced by our clients are sound, viable, and sustainable; we believe that policy that doesn’t meet this standard cannot withstand the test of time and scrutiny and, as such, we apply our experience toward reviewing and strengthening policies. Supplementing this work can include recommendations about the design, presentation, and optimal timing for data and analytical products that enhance advocacy positioning.
Strategic Positioning: We provide strategic positioning advice to our clients to ensure that their policy or message objective is consistent with and takes advantage of the policy objectives and delivery reform approaches being advanced by federal and state policymakers as well as state-of-the-art health care delivery systems.
Message Development/Implementation: We help clients understand and more effectively communicate with the public, important stakeholders, policymakers, the media, and influential opinion leaders who frame public opinion on health and health care. This work can and often is supplemented by JPS, Inc. Providing critical contributions to the production, evaluation, and messaging of polling and focus group instruments.
Coalition Formation: Where practical and feasible, we help construct and manage stakeholder coalitions that do or should share in the policy objective and approach embraced by our clients. This not only enhances the visibility and credibility of our client’s policy preference but increases the likelihood of its eventual adoption.
